| Wet Nose Dog Bakery began in the spring of 2004. My daughter, Amanda, and I started our little adventure as a way for us to spend more time together, as well as to make our dogs some yummy treats.

| Through trial and error, and MANY batches of treats, we came up with a good assortment of treats that our dogs, Candy & Dixie just love! They were our main testers, but the neighbor's dogs and co-worker's dogs benefited from all of this baking as well!

| We started selling through word of mouth, as well as local craft shows. By the end of 2004, we decided to open a website so more dogs can enjoy our treats.

| Starting this "small business" proved to be more challenging than first thought. Business licenses, lab analysis for our treats, product registration through the Department of Agriculture..............all steps we took to make sure all the t's were crossed and i's dotted! We've learned alot, and feel passionate that our treats are the best out there!

| An "about us" page wouldn't be complete without a word about our great dogs! Candy is about 8 years old, and is a Pomeranian. We got her from the Prince William County Animal Shelter when she was about two years old. She's a frisky little dog with plenty of spunk! Definitely the alpha dog in the duo! Dixie is about 4 years old, and we got her from the same shelter about 2 years ago. She is a husky/shepherd mix, and is the most snuggly, lovable dog I've ever seen! The dogs get along well with each other, and you can find them many times laying next to each other with Candy licking Dixie's ears! Since this "adventure" began, every time I turn on the oven, they think we are baking treats for them!
